remove the two screws on top, and pull the black panel out. The there are 4 screws holding the unit to the dash. unscrew those and the cluster should come loose. I dont remember how many screws hold the plastic piece onto the unit... but dont F anything up while youre disassembling it. IMO just take a paper towel and clean it; its easier h:
