same here....on my g/f's 1990 Accord, the right taillight (the one on the trunk, not the corner/fender) doesnt turn on, but it does when you press the brakes.

I replaced it with a new bulb, and it worked, but then the LEFT side brake/taillights didnt work anymore! Yes, I checked all the bulbs, and they were all correct.

I then put the original bulb back in (which looks half burnt), and it still didnt work!

Somehow, after I closed the trunk (ground issue?) it all seems to work like it did in the first place. So I learned my lesson...DO NOT touch any bulbs in this car!
