my biggest fuckup here was when i audited the travelers checks, i came up short by 1000 bucks. instead of looking back at the previous 3 months to correct my way forward, i called one of the accountants. next thing you know, vp accounting was on my ass, my boss was on my ass, and i faced a branch audit. damn near lost my job.
lesson learned - dust the problem under the run until you can find it yourself. then tell the superiors how you solved the problem on your own and you deserve a promotion and a raise :chuckles:
