When cold the car would shift on a dime all the time, crisp and perfect., His transmission had been serviced by him, he is a Certified master tech. Anywho, he recieved a bulliten about the linear valve and Lock up/shift solenoid. he complied and changed, no change. he used his DataLink and check, the P0740 never returned. Everyday when cold to about and hour after normal operating temp the tranny will start its same late shifting process, not slipping, in gera and on change is intermitten(neutral) and then slugs into the next gear, it does not really do it when manually shifting or sport shift mode.He knws with it being a 98 and 120,300 thousand mile that honda wont shell out some cost cause its figured reasonable use, but is it really with such a tidy service record, and services well before spossed to be. Hmm anyway, he is saddened to have to shell out another tranny with the circumstances of 2 hurricanes and loss of a house in New Orleans. Is there anythin he can do , Honda Motor Company wise beiong there is a long list of people having issues with the V6 transmissions or is he just OUT of luck at 120 thousand miles?
sjpuld he use the 3.2 TL /Odyssey transmission kit cause its clutches are for more TQ than the one for the V6 Accord and 3.0 CL or just use the kit for his model?
