THe new car is beautiful. My friend as the exact car, color and everything, but he's boosting 12psi trust me, you want to boost it with a quick spooling turbo, it'll makes that car actually pull really good
I'd love to turbo it, but the warranty is important to me right now.

Ya, I know. I'll never live down my past, but I gained a great deal of knowledge from everything I did with the Civic. Thanks for the reply Steven.

Man, that IS300 is going to be SICK when it's boosted. :chuckles:

Edit: Oh yeah... your Civic always impressed me. I might have been a tad quicker in the 1/4, but I'm a LoOoOoNg way off from a dyno slip that looks anything like your$. You earned my respect.
Thanks Jonathan! You've been a great friend as well. I'll probably loom a bit, but I doubt any IS300 DIY's will be much good here. :chuckles:

I've learned a lot from you & have been inspired to keep working on mine even when the wiring hell was happening over last winter.. Thanks for all that you have contributed to this board & always being around to answer those odd ball questions that i've had. I'll definatly miss seeing you around here all the time.

on a more positive note, congratz on your new purchase.. & your lucky that your so well liked or some mod would have tossed this to the basement
I'm glad I could inspire you, Tony. I just hope you get everything working at one point or another. I actually was trying to decide if I should put this in the basement or not, but this is where my roots are so I left it here.

I will do some things myself. I like the fact that Lexus keeps a database of the services done on the car for resale. They're very accomodating. I feel like a freakin' star when I go there. Valet parking, 'sir' this... 'sir' that, and much more. It's a whole different world! Thanks for the tips, I'll keep it in mind.

I remember my 1st encounter with you. It's when you saw a pic of my car and made a comment about the wing I had. I never replied to your post even after clicking on the link in your sig. Saw the pics of your car and was like WTF " This guy is living in 1995." However , you finally woke up and created something that most of us can only dream of.

Once again , Congrats! Good for you that you were able to move on , unlike me where I have to wait awhile.
wow, thanks man. I appreciate knowing what you thought.
I wish you the best on getting what you want.

Anyone need tuning, this is the MAN!

Interesting stuff. I've actually been looking for some Sport tails cause they have the smoked chrome, which I think would look great on this car. I'm going to wait a bit till my finances settle down before throwing money into mods. More to come.

Thanks Pat. I really hope you hit your goals. Just be smart about it and I'm sure you'll get there. Lemme know what I can do.

But it always feels nice when you get a new car. Me and my girlfriend both felt the same way about our civics and how it was time to move on. My girl traded her civic for an IS as well, but in white.
She had to wait almost 2 months for hers, because she wanted white w/ a black interior and navi. Oh, this jsut reminded me of when we were looking around for her car, and one dealership had a white one with black interior, but no navi. The salesman was a joke, and tried to convince her the Lexus' navigation sucked and that she shouldn't get it because she would lose one of her cupholders. We immediately walked out.
Anyways, it's a great car with great stock suspension. I drive her car sometimes, but one thing that I really don't like, is how the shifters are on the steering wheel, and how you can only go down to 2nd gear.
As for myself, I was lucky and I didn't have to sell my civic to get my dream car, a 2000 CLK430 . Although I should since I haven't driven it in about 6 months. Anyways, congrats, and have fun with your new ride.

One mod that I would do to the IS, is to get the black chrome emblems. They would look sick on your color.
Ya, I don't get the 2nd gear thing...
Nice choice on your CLK. Very nice car and I understand why you're not paying much attention to the Civic.

I've thought about the black chrome emblems. I totally agree with you.

Wow, looking good Mitchell. That manifold is quite nice, good job on the fab work! :eek3:
Keep me informed on the updates. I can't wait to see what she makes.
