) I think I would then go for manual diesel Accord. I drive about 2000 miles+ per month (mostly highway) so a diesel would be heaven sent for me. When I was looking for a car in 2005 I also looked at Passat diesel but I "gave up" on Passat due to the fact that it only came with auto tranny (manual was not available). So, instead I went with 4 cyl Accord Auto.
I have family and friends in Europe and the last time I was there in May 05. I drove a CRV with stick and diesel engine and that thing kicks ass. I mean, it goes to 100kmh (60 miles) in no time and continues to pull strong all the way. Engine is quiet and economy is excellent...
