i recently had the head rebuilt and now all the shop needs are cams. will a cam from a b18c work for a b18c5?

i understand that there will be a loss in performance or whatever because its a downgraded cam shaft but will it fit? will the engine still work? will it be reliable if i dont rape the engine?help!
