Redline
The other day i was driving along in my 2000 ls with 70k on it. I was cruising in third at about 5krmp's or so and when i went to shift into fourth i accidentally threw in back into second. Wham, needle winds up at about 7.5krpms, well into the redline. I punched the clutch as soon as it happened, couldent have been in the red for more than a second or two, and i was just wondering how this affects the engine. It runs no different than ran before but i'm just curious how bad it hurts the engine to be in the red
sorry for such a long post, trying to get in all the details
