I'm sorry for not responding back sooner but I've been out of town and trying not to think about auto repairs for a while because in the end my Accord needed a rebuilt transmission at a cost of $2500. The shift solenoid valve was not the problem so the only option was a rebuilt transmission. A big expense but since the car only has 40k, I figure it has a long life ahead of it. I will definitely change the transmission fluid from now on every 36 months regardless of mileage. I also want to write Honda and let them know what happened under the premise of not expecting anything in return and just letting them know about what happened. If anyone has a name and addres of someone at Honda I can write to that would be appreciated. Thanks.
