so if u park ur car at Target and a guy pushes a shopping cart in to your car and leaves a nice dent and flees, ur gunna go to the Target manager and ask for him to pay for it? its driver courtesy if you ding someones car to leave a note, but if their an ass and they just bone out then your just screwed... person who owns the parking lot has no liability, the person who did the damage is liable, if you dunno who did it then you've ur just screwed.

i work at a mall and ive been hit once while working, luckily for me it was an off duty cop and he left me his info and even called the police so when I found out, it was all taken care of. But if he didnt leave his info, I would not have complained to my employers, instead i would request video surveilance footage and try to find out exactly who it was and go from there. if you don't have video, then youre just SOL.
