The Elite kit has a better built lift cylinder. It's constructed of Stainless finish not painted black like the regular.

The hardware is also black powder coat or black painted vs. non-coated silver finish.

The Elite kit has a 4yr war. while the standard is only 2yr. I figured in for a penny in for a pound. I wanted the stanless cylinders and the longer warranty, just in case. My luck with aftermarket gear has not been the best lately, I like warranties
