It's because of this post:
Tire Rack Heat Cycled Them already.
Apparently you think heat cycling by Tire Rack and heat cycling them driving on the street are both the same thing. One is good for the tires the other is bad.
I wouldn't run them on the street for another reason. A friend of mine like to drive from his house to the event (10 miles one way) in his Corvette Z06. On the way home it started to pour and guess what happened to his vette? He smashed it to smitherines! First drop of rain he hydorplaned into a tree on the highway.
