I have been waiting for a result from Happs on the new shift control solenoid, but I think he may be on vacation. My trans has been doing the same, starts out fine, get 20 miles away from home and takes higher rpms before shifting then eventually no go. Engine runs fine - no response to any gear (auto). After letting sit a few minutes it will continue for a while til same thing happens. Ran honda fluid through 3xs each time cleaned gray sludge of the plug. It shifts smother than it ever had, but it still isnt right. The longer its driven it takes higher rpms before shifting. car has 169k miles. Will a shift control solenoid fix my problem? any response appreciated
