A "grand black hole" threatens the universe. Planet Seiberton (Cybertron) is the latest victim. The hole sucks in the TF's home, forcing a mass evacuation towards Earth ... A planet they can disguise themselves easily in.

Before they evacuate the metallic planet, an ancient transformer, Vector Prime, appears with a prophecy. With the aid of 4 "planet force chips", which are scattered and hidden across the universe, the "grand black hole" will be demolished and the universe saved ... how? Nobody knows, it's only a myth.

The search for a planet for chip takes the Autobots to the Beast Planet. Ligerjack (Leo Breaker) is a reformatted TF. He originally got his ass squashed by the planet's leader, Flame Convoy (Scourge). After the beating, he scanned a lion and was reborn.

With the "link up" upgrade with Galaxy Convoy (Optimus Prime), Liger Convoy demolishes Flame Convoy. They get the plant force chip and move on.



Earth happens to be the next location of the planet force chip. Live Convoy (Evac) is the protector of Earth and guardian of the chip.



After a fierce battle with Megatron, First Aid (Red Alert) is killed. With the help of Primus' spark, First Aid is reformatted into First Gunner ... the guy with the massive cannon.




In the Japanese series, every planet's leader is completely unaware there are more TF's in the galaxy. It just happens to be, that all leaders have the "Convoy" or "Prime" added to their name. Every leader has the same spark heritage.

Of course, in the US version ... Hasbro didn't want to confuse the kids ... and dulled it down quite a bit.
