I have the Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust on my 98 civic ex coupe. I can honestly say that it is pretty loud, tho the sound is really nice. It's a very low low grumble...which is what I am going for. I find that it is the loudest around 3-4 rpm. The exhaust comes with a removable silencer; with the silencer in the exhaust is very quiet...in fact I don't think any noise comes out of it at all, except for the noise of the silencer pipe rattling alittle bit. Overall, I run daily with with silencer in, because I just don't want to be blazing around town all the time....but here and there i'll take the silencer out and just blare around town.
