215/40/17 is the ideal tire size for your wheels. the offset is very good as well.

the 225/45/17's might even be ok with that offset and no drop. chances are it'll rub in the rear on what's called the "tab" but it's not a major issue. If it bothers you, you can have the tab removed by dremel.
