Right now I'm actually in the process of trying to fit an auto (digital) climate control unit from a 5th gen Accord from Japan. I have the unit, and it looks to be a snug fit in place of the std. unit, but the bezel will have to be fabricated. Thats going to be PITA #1. The JDM bezel is backwards, so that will be no help. Next will be hooking it up. I know it's going to take some time, $ and a couple swear jars... but I'm prepared. I don't think anyone has ever tempted to do this yet, so hopefully I'll be the first to pioneer the idea. I'll post how to's and pics when I'm done. I have some helpers that are far more electronically inclined than I am... I'll be better with fabricating my bezel.
Some other things I've done already that were DYI and easy, but made a difference were the gauge cluster from a 98 Acura CL w/ the red needles. That was basically plug and play. I also swapped my emergency switch with one from the same CL, which rids that big red square. On the CL's switch, only the triangle is red. Looks cleaner IMO. The 4th gens have the same switch as the 97-99 CL.
