i set the shift light @ right around 6k rpms, safe? any suggestion on the setting?
The tach signal is probably just a tad more accurate than the signal coming from your cluster. (you have 2 tachs now???

Set your shift light to your redline or somewhere before redline to allow you to shift in time.
