I saw a completelly flooded Toyota Corona. It was drying out for 2 months in a hot room. After mechanical work was done they start it up. I don't know what happened to that car after. Most likely it was sold with lots of problem coming up.
Anyway, even after 2 month drying period it had a smell of water inside.
So, it will start. I'm not sure about salt water.
