The Takara re-issues are done properly. When 1 set comes out, the previous goes out of production. They're currently on #19 Perceptor, with #20 Cup and Wheelie on the way this week. When you start looking for older ones like #18 Soundblaster, or #12 Minibots, you'll start paying a high price.

If you're really interested in purchasing these, your best bet is to get into the groove, and pre-order from an online shop like www.bigbadtoystore.com. If you're looking for previous releases, eBay is your best shot. Make sure to watch the shipping costs though.

Also keep in mind, there is no generic price on these. They change depending on the toy. Soundblaster retailed for 67.99. Hot Rod was around 32.99. Insecticons started @ 37.99, but can pull $40-ish.


Another tip, search for a toystore that has flat rate shipping. Order 2, save on shipping, and you'll get more for your $$
