The one time I tried cable access here, it was down 6 weeks of the three months I supposedly had their service. They didn't want to fix it, so I went back to dial up.

The lines in my neighborhood are jacked, and that's likely the problem. I noticed that they don't always make connections at logical junction points, but just cut into the middle of the cable and run lines where needed. That seems kinda dumb to me.
