Imagine a diesel-electric variant. You could take a 900cc turbodiesel triple to act as the generator, run it through the power cells and out to the wheel motors.
Keep the weight reasonable and the car would have some serious go.
turbine engines are more effecient for that role... but both ideas aren't new
