I'm not knocking budget racers because I am one myself. But I have learned a lot when it comes to turbo kits and I am not saying that all prefab kits are great only that a turbo kit is only as good and reliable as the parts and engineering used to build it. Buying a prefab kit froma known retailer saves a lot of time because they have done all the R&D. I have personal knowledge of crappy prefab kits too. I installed a turbo kit from Cybernations on my cousins RSX and while some of it's hard parts were good, the electronics and exhaust parts were badly designed. Keep in mind that this was one of teh first kits for teh RSX but you still have to know a lot when compiling a good kit. many peopel think they know and in reality they do not know shit. If I find a good route I stay with it because it works. Copying a set-up that is proven is not bad, it's smart. There is no way you will see huge numbers on junkyard parts alone. Period. This point cannot be argued. I don't care who you are, or what your experience is, no hodge podge kit will generate good numbers for long. Of course this is all my personal opinion so take no offense. Peace.
i totally understand what you're saying... its really up to the person installing it, who has the knowledge to know what will work right and what will be off..
im speaking as a boosted tuner also
