LOL its so funny how people think theres a difference between a GSR and Type-R oil pump, cuz theres not, its the same part and its the same part number from Honda and Acura dealerships. 15100-P72-A01 and I got mine for $100 shipped brand new from a Honda dealer on the inernet. How could anyone build an LS/Vtec without? KMS makes really trick CnC 6061 aluminum block girdles for $135 and you need to use a GSR windage tray, oil pick-up and oil pan. This is also a good time to replace the timing belt and water pump, if you choose to. If you use an LS belt, you use the LS pump, and the same goes for GSR belts and GSR pumps.
A GREAT setup for the motor if your going all motor find a B20 block or if you find a nasty deal on a b18 block use Integra Type-R pistons. You must match any rod to the corresponding crankshaft, for example if you use the LS rods you must use an LS crank, or GSR rods with a GSR crank ( I don't know if the GSR's will work?). Like Shmoo said use ARP rod bolts if your re-using the old rods and make sure you replace the head bolts or use head studs. With any LS vtec you must use GSR type head bolts. Of course all new gaskets and pick up some ACL bearings, they are inexpensive and are an excellent alternative to HONDA's at half the price. Do not forget new thrust washers, ACL can also supply you or Honda has them for $14. If you use a b16 head get some GSR cams cuz they are cheap and blow away the sucky stock b16 cams. Good luck
