Even if you dont plan on making lots of power, another advantage of getting your motor sleeved is you can go with a bigger bore size to increase your displacement.
For the original poster I dont know how much it ould be just to sleeve the block, but I recently had my whole block built by Laskey Racing. Earl gets his motors sleeved by Dan Benson himself. I paid $3330 and here is what I got:
$1050 Benson Sleeves install/cylinder hone (you can pick a bore size at no extra cost)
$150 Benson balanced/micropolished crank
$495 CP Pistons and rings
$620 Pauter Rods
$100 ACL bearings
$250 OEM oil/water pump
$50 Gasket/seal set
$490 Blue print and assembly
$125 USA (lower 48) delivery
$3330...Total
If you want it with Pauter rods then it'll be $3430, but that's if he has them in stock. For Eagle rods it's $3050...for my buildup I went with Manley rods, 83mm bore, and an LS crank in my B18C. All that was good for 1925cc's.
