Just pulled my carpet, 1 or 2 surface rust spots in the foot wells, no big deal-bondo. In front of the rear bench, there is a factory seam, tht looks like it has putty overit...I have a small line of rust about 13 inches long on the passenger side along this seam. Is it ok to sand out the rust, and put some rubberized spray on it? or should I have my body shop look at this? Also, is this a key structural point of the unibody?
