I recently took my car in to the shop and they told me my exhaust manifold was cracked. I know the exhaust manifold is connected to the cat converter, but can it be seperated? The mechanic told me I have to buy a cat converter and a exhaust manifold because it cannot be seperated, but he didn't sound certain. Can someone let me know if I need to buy both or can I just buy the exhaust manifold? thanks.
