I don't know how much work you're willing to put in here, but I believe the motto of our generation of car modders is "Anything is possible with enough $$"
That said, I wonder if you could do a reverse 9005 conversion, e.g. put 9006s in the high beam slots. So now what you have is dim bulbs pointed up, and dim bulbs pointed down. It seems to me that this would be no brighter than any suv headlights I've had in my face.
Then, since we were talking about it, you could use a wiring harness from a Civic and put the dual-filament Civic bulb in the old low-beams housings. Now the only problem becomes keeping the inner lights (former high beams) on all the time, and re-wiring the switch to turn on the dual-filaments when you flick the stalk. To me, this sounds like too much work just to have all your lights on at the same time, but whatever you want, it's your car. I'd probably just grab some OEM fogs, kinda the same effect :thumbup:
