i use meguiar's 3-step. it a pain in the ass, but it makes my car's paint feel like new. i u havent waxed in 2 years, i reccomend taking it to a body shop or detail place to have it "buffed." they take and abrasive compound to take off a very thin layer of the clearcoat, where all the contaminants cloud the finish. you could also try using a clay bar to get rid of the contaminants
