You're probably thinking Leganza. It was sold here during Daewoo's brief attempt to sell cars here through a network of college students, before they folded and were bought out by GM. That car is now sold here as the Suzuki Verona. Not sure how it's badged in other markets.

As for it being a "true" Daewoo, sure. Rather than giving Daewoo a bunch of other GM products to sell as Daewoos, they're using Daewoo to develop a bunch of cars to sell as Chevrolets in most of the world and Suzukis (plus the Chevrolet Aveo) here in the USA.
