Ok, my battery cable shorted out, which fried my battery and distributor. I got a new distributor, hooked it up, and jump started. My car ran fine for my 15min test drive. I had no check engine lights, etc. It seemed to run better than it ever did. I came back to my house, shut off the car, and tried to restart. The battery was completely dead (which I kind of expected)
I went and got a new battery, put it in and started the car. My CEL is now on and my ECU is giving me a steady on light. No blinks, no pauses, just ON. In addition to that, the car is running wierd and hesitating REALLY BAD when I pump the gas. I shut off the car, and now my new battery is DEAD. What the heck is going on here?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
