[QUOTE=delsol161]those are included in the & such

the point i was making was that they don't just spray everything w/ black primer. but if a shop buys a new OEM bumper, lip, or spoiler they come unprimered. just bare ABS.
delsol161 is partially right. Any part that comes in ABS plastic comes raw, but the reason sometimes you see the parts in different colors other than black, which is normally seen, is because of the type of dye/primer they used when they made the bumper or lip or spoiler or whatever. This way after the product is complete its already ready for painting. I've seen parts that came in like a cream color. savagecivic, ur right about one thing tho i think, i'm not sure what an e-coat is but i do know that it does come with a layer of a type of primer on any of the metal parts ie fenders so its ready for paint. You can't just spray any primer on metal and it'll stick, theres a special way and a special type of primer they do and use, its sort of like that coat melts into the metal. I can go on an on about this small subject thats off what the main subject was about. lol. Just wanted to say sominn bout this cause i use to work for a corp. that made products out of ABS plastic. It's pretty interesting tho how these parts are made, do some research you'll be amazed!
