96 civic dx spark plugs...
i just bought a civic, sweet little car, but it has been nothing but a nightmare since i got it. i just did some standard maintenance when i got it, like plugs, cap, roter, wires, fuel filter, o2 sensor...and a new cat to get it through smog and into my name. the cat was like $600...all in all the car runs fine but the fuel/air mix is too lean. i pulled the new plugs and the tips are white-ish and at the base of the threads it is black. i realize the white is from the mix, and the black is probably from oil but the car only has 116k miles on it, it runs smooth but i know it is too lean. is there anything in particular i can change/check to solve this problem. it takes a couple of seconds on a cold morning to start the engine, i want it to just turn over like after it is already hot. do the fuel pressure regulators go out in this car often, intake leak...gas leak??? any help would be appreciated. thanks so much.
