I'm not sure what you mean...but it does take a little getting used to with the Accord. In particular, first gear winds quick and you have to be ready for second. In fact, I think that transition is probably the biggest place to make an error in judging when to shift, out of any of the gears. When you hit it "right" you can just feel it.
For normal driving, I don't even look at my tach. anymore. I just shift by sound and feel. I guess that comes from driving a standard continually for 17 years. However, when I went to Colorado recently, I had to watch.
