I was always told their was a difference, and there are both types, they sit next to each other on the shelf at every auto store. The carb cleaner is much stronger than the intake manifold cleaner and can strip away the factory coating from the trottle body. If the bottle says it's good for both, then it is. I also know people who have used carb cleaner on their honda's, but i wouldnt risk it.
