I'm also going to have to say that you have a bad ground somewhere. The word Code on your CD player should be referring to its anti-theft system (if it has that blinking red light when you car is off). If this is the case, simply open your owners manual and in there should be your code. When it asks you for the code, just enter it using the number buttons on the radio. Hopefully that at least takes care of one problem for you - but check your fuses and grounds.
