OBDII sensors weren't used until 96 models and newer i believe, I don't know if the jumping thing will work since the car does not have the detection system that a car with the OBD II has. I've also heard that you can short out your computer by doing the jumping technique if you do it incorrectly. Are you having any unusual symptoms while driving. If you have the money i'd recomend bringing it to a dealer, especially over a place like Car-X or Midas, the dealer can generally diagnos correctly while the other place seem to just "guess" costing you more money in the long haul (seemed to have happend to me, now i always bring it to the dealer, and they get it right the first time.)
