I would NOT convert the amplified signal to RCAs without stepping it down, the RCA inputs on the amp are only for low-level.

I agree, in order to get the full performance out of an amp through a sub woofer set-up would be to get a radio with the rca's in them. Highs and mids you don't have to worry about cause your not trying to get the lowest frequency out of them. my 2¢
