Despite you being around longer than that kid has. I wouldnt doubt his judgement. Take it to another shop if your unsure.
I had a similar problem with my stock camber and I took it to many shops to diagnose. Out of the 4 mechanics I took it to none of them could figure out the problem with the rear camber on my car. They were at leave 30+yrs old.
I took it to Sears where a 19 yr old put it up on the lift. He was under my car for about 30 minutes when he realized the problem and fixed it!.
So chances are he may or may not be wrong.
To be sure go to another shop. Are your tires balanced properly?
