Uhhh...no. A properly built box will not "break" with a pair of Kicker Comps.

It is pretty much standard when I build my boxes
-Use .75" MDF
-Predrill holes for drywall screws every 8"
-Run a line of wood glue on all connecting edges
-Run a line of caulk on the seams
