LS/VTEC pistons
I'm corn-fuzed again. I am matching a b18a1 block with a B18c1 head. I am using GSR 5.429 in. Eagle rods and the b18a1 crank. I want to keep the cylinders the same OEM diameter. I am concerned that the B18a1 rods were 5.394" and the Eagle rods are 5.429" = .035" longer. I will be using a standard 3 layer LS head gasket. I thought I had to get higher compression pistons to counter the short LS rod. But now with the longer Eagle rod what forged piston should I seek? Compression 11.5 is the most I want to use.
PS, the cylinder chambers will have all hard lines removed and valve seats unshrouded. Thanks. RFT
