His handle has "gsr" in it, so I'm assuming he's running fuel injection. He also asked about a "piggyback computer" and said he was going to "go tuning", so I'm also assuming he means fuel map tuning on a dyno. I completely understand that there is more to tuning a car than achieving maximum power output, however my statement was in regards to tuning on a dyno. You have every right to disagree with my statement, but your points, while valid, don't really apply to dyno tuning. Sure, changing his cam profile and the shape of his intake and exhaust ports is a form of tuning, but I doubt he'll be doing that between dyno runs. Sure, a properly set-up suspension is utterly crucial to getting whatever power being generated by the engine to the ground and controlling it, but I doubt suspension settings will matter much during a dyno session. As I have said, my statement about tuning was focused on the aspects one can tune on a dyno. Unless you own a dyno, or have discounted access to one, you're going to be paying $100/hr or whatever they charge for dyno time these days. With that in mind, the methods of tuning I listed are pretty much all you can do, unless you plan on emptying your bank account. If I'm wrong and yokogsr does not drive a fuel injected GSR, and if he is not referring to dyno tuning, then please disregard my posts.
