Someone called? h:

Alright, I'll try to package this up neatly.

1) The "LS/VTEC Conversion Kit" is nothing more than a box with parts needed to place a VTEC head on a non-VTEC block. The kit does not modify your stock head to retrofit the VTEC valvetrain (cams, rocker arms, solenoid, etc.)

2) In addition to the kit, you still need a VTEC cylinder head from a B-series motor. That means one from a B16A, B16A2, B18C, B18C1, or B18C5. In addition, you'll need a VTEC ECU, a "sandwich" type oil-line adapter, the correct head gasket for your cylinder head and possible some shielded wiring of the correct gauge. Oh, and a knock sensor from a GSR.

3) Before you go crazy tearing into your stock motor, read up on the conversion process. There are limitations to the LS block that need to be addressed before you slap on that head and start revving to 8500 rpm. Oiling and cooling capacity can be upgraded with the GSR pumps, and IMO, it's mandatory.

So, spend a bit more time researching the process and make the call based on your budget and level of expertise. It sounds like a shop will be turning the wrenches most of the time, so factor in extra funds for their time.
