The RBC's that die do it so life moves forward. The body needs an optimum count of everything and thus has to terminate some cells in order to move life onto the next minute. Aborting a day old fetus is still aborting life, you aren't making the cycle move forward.

A day old fetus is NOT alive, that's the point. stopping the cycle (actually more of a one way process than a cycle) is just stopping the cycle... not stopping something that was already alive..
