Actually you are killing something even if its not the first month. Dead skin like the word says is dead, you don't have a living breathing cell in there. But when a sperm cell and an egg unite you have a living breathing cell there.

All cells transfer oxygen that doesnt make red blood cells that die everyday as killing life... And as your comment about dead skin cells being dead... they may be dead but they still contain the blueprint, DNA to theoretically map out the creation of a human, similarly to the fact of the genetic information makeup of a fertilized embryo.
A living "breathing" cell is NOT the same as a living breathing human. Time creates the connection.
And yes we are getting philosophical.. as to what constitutes the meaning of being "Alive".
