Posi is something old American cars and trucks had back in the day that locks the two wheels together permanently so that the power is always split 50/50. Mostly only good for off road use because it wears the tires very quickly on the road and makes the car difficult to steer and squeal around corners.
no posi is a LSD last time i checked, you might be refering to a locking differential (100-0, 50-50, or 0-100) or possibly just a straight through 50/50 system
