drills can work , but it needs to be variable speed , and up to about 2400 rpm and needs to have a side handle .
You also cant use it more than 30 minutes without a good 15-20 minutes in the fridge afterwards ( to cool down ) or it will die quickly .
they make 5/8x11 threaded adapters for 3,4" and 6" backing pads to be used with just about any hokk n loop pad out .
not a bad occasional alternative for a real orbital buffer / sander
