Why are you wetsanding by hand though ? You should use a block on the flat surfaces and a flexi blok on the rounded edges .
Also - after using rubbing compound ( which should be done with a twisted wool pad for wet sanding scratches ) you should follow with a machine glaze or hand glaze or your paint is open to any and all elements .
