for the trunk problem. it's not really a big deal.

Brakes - I wouldn't agree that it is normal. Give it a few thousand miles of wet and dry braking and see if it improves.
Trunk - I can't even conceive of what you mean by a cranking sound in the trunk. Is it repetitive? How long does it last? Is it hinge related? Coming from the rear speakers? Can you narrow down the general location of the noise?
