166k on the car, engine is on its way out. Its burning oil, something about the head gasket.
New problem today, too late to call mech. need sum input. Put car into gear, the S light turned on for a good 10 mins or so.There was a smell like burning oil. Shifted into D4, car had a hard time to shift into 2nd, when it did it was kinda ok. put it into 2nd and it drives ok. The S light is not on anymore, not even when i press the button, and also when i put it in P, it gets stuck, have to put the key inthe release thing, everytime i start the car, or after puttin in P. It was too dark and engine bay was too hot to check oil. Could little or no oil cause this? or is the tranny on its way out too??? Restarted a few times and no change. Had htis happen on a 89 maxima, and tranny died a few hrs later. Dont see much about bad trannys on honda, well not as much as maximas.
Got any ideas? input? let me know pls. thanks!!
